TRANSFER STATION OPERATOR PT




The Town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time TRANSFER STATION OPERATOR (OM1) with the DPW, Solid Waste Division.

Responsibilities include routine manual and administrative work in enforcing and implementing local regulations governing the operation and maintenance of the Town’s mixed solid waste and recycling areas; related work as required. Responsible for handling the disposal of hazardous waste such as paint, oil, batteries, tires, refrigerants and mercury. A complete job description is available in the Human Resources Office.

Work is performed indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions, requiring continuous standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching. Frequently required to move (push, pull, lift, or carry) objects weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds. Frequently required to use hand tools requiring manual dexterity.

Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles Class D driver’s license is required.

Hourly range: $25.7745 to $29.9430, 16 hours per week. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt. This posting will remain open through September 11, 2026.
