PUBLIC SAFETY APPLICATION SPECIALIST




The Town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of Public Safety Application Specialist for the IT Department.

Develop and oversee programming and integration of Public Safety applications, databases, interfaces, programs, and business processes. Serves as the “Tier II” education point for Public Safety IT Help Desk service and support requests, providing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support as necessary; provide “Tier I” support as needed. Oversees quality assurance of programming, development and design, and adherence to coding and documentation standards. Works with IT team members and other Town staff to develop plans and schedules, estimate resource requirements, define milestones and deliverables, monitor activities, and evaluate and report on accomplishments. Performs complex technical work involving municipal systems, development and design, coordinating with external vendors. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, other Town employees, and outside agencies; exhibit professional conduct in assignments and administrative duties.

Associate’s degree in technology or related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment performing application administration, development, business analysis, and support; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
